Meet some of the talented professionals behind your translation project.


Matthew (Japanese into English)

Matthew has worked as a professional Japanese into English translator since 2001, with extensive experience in a variety of commercial and technical fields. Prior to his career in language services, he spent several years in the reinsurance industry specialising in the Japanese market, which gave him first-hand familiarisation with Japanese business culture. He is a qualified member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting and the Chartered Institute of Linguists. Outside of work, he has a passion for music (particularly classical), enjoys swimming, nature walks and taking to the virtual skies through flight simulation.

Isabelle (English into French)

Graduated with a Master of Science, Isabelle worked within private companies for 14 years, developing a multidisciplinary approach to environmental issues. She continues to use and hone her technical knowledge in her freelance career today but would not mind expanding her activity to other topics and writing styles, such as creative writing, which is one of her hobbies.

Elena (English into Russian)

Elena is a professional interpreter, translator and editor working primarily with English and Russian, but also with Belarusian, Polish and Ukrainian. Previously, she worked for several years in the UK and US financial sector (reinsurance and banking) and has over 20 years’ experience interpreting for City financial and legal firms. She is a qualified member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, a member of the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC), and a member of the British-Russian Law Association. She enjoys travel, music, the arts, natural health and gardening, and actively participates in the life of the Belarusian community in the UK.

Tobi (English into German)

Tobi is a mechanical engineer with years of experience as a Technical Editor/Translator. He’s always interested in new, interesting and challenging technical fields, and especially interested in vintage cars and good music after work.

Otto (English into Dutch)

Otto grew up in the Netherlands and was educated in social sciences and social casework there, but ended up working in the financial industry in the UK instead. After a number of years in that industry, having a passion for languages, he decided to join the translation industry and the rest is history! He works as a financial, legal and technical translator into Dutch. Outside of his work, he has a passion for helping people to find the root causes of things they struggle with in their lives and helping them to resolve these. He also enjoys fitness, hiking and cycling.

Félix (English into Spanish/Catalan)

After graduating in law and practising as a solicitor for about 5 years, Félix decided to join the translation company that his father had founded, with the aim of growing the business. That was 30 years ago, and since then, Félix has mainly been in charge of legal translations. The rest of the projects, he delegates to his most trusted team, as he needs a bit of time for his granddaughters, who are his favourite hobby nowadays!

Giovanni (English into Italian)

Giovanni has been working in the field of technical translations since 1991. He’s keen on technical terminology and enjoys smoking his pipe whilst sitting in his armchair.

Isabell (English into German)

At the start of her career, Isabell spent many years translating specialised mechanical engineering and legal text for an international company. She then moved into freelance translation using the skills and knowledge she had gained from this. She is a great lover of Italy and has a keen interest in criminology and forensics.

Hubert (English into French)

In a first life, Hubert was a Reservoir Engineer for a French oil company operating in Algeria, having graduated from École Polytechnique in Paris. Since then, he has worked as a technical translator for over 30 years and enjoys playing tennis in his spare time.

Vincent (English into Chinese)

Vincent has more than 15 years’ experience in the translation industry. A conscientious linguist, he is a friendly individual who takes great pride in his work. His hobbies include climbing, reading and music.
